The European Medicines Agency (EMA) published a text on its website highlighting the concerns and questions that arise, as well as the false claims related to vaccines.
In the relevant text, the EMA informs the public that vaccines save millions of lives every year and are one of the most effective means of preventing serious infectious diseases. Through their action, they protect individuals and reduce the transmission of diseases, further safeguarding vulnerable groups such as infants, the elderly, and people with weakened immune systems. Most importantly, before being approved, vaccines undergo strict safety and efficacy checks and continue to be monitored even after they are placed on the market. There is always the possibility that vaccines may cause side effects, but these are usually mild and temporary.
The EMA also answers a series of questions and false claims regarding whether vaccines can cause autism, thoroughly dismissing the various arguments on this matter using data from numerous studies. Furthermore, the EMA explains whether vaccines contain mercury and how harmful such substances may be and also debunks the myth of the harmfulness of the adjuvant substances they contain.
