Hemophilia treatment is redefined by gene therapy

Once a death sentence, hemophilia may soon have a treatment. A hereditary condition that primarily affects boys is caused by blood clotting failure. After an injury, hemophilia can result in sudden, severe bleeding. There were only measures to halt the bleeding twenty years ago. Gene therapies now have even greater hope of treating this illness in the future.
