Place: Athens, Greece
We are excited to introduce you to the Athens International Symposium “Neural Stem Cells: Capturing Complexity and Plasticity from the Cell to the Organism”
Program Description: Great advances have elucidated the role of neural stem cells from development to aging, disease, and repair. However, it is still difficult to fully utilize the potential of in vitro and in vivo models to capture cell plasticity and brain complexity. In April 2025, the ISSCR and Stem Cell Reports are inviting you to Athens, Greece, for a special symposium that brings together scientists from around the world to discuss subjects like the regulation of stem cells both intrinsically and extrinsically, metabolism and epigenetics, evolution and human-specific characteristics, interactions between neurons and glia, and brain disease modeling. There will also be presentations by selected authors from a special issue of Stem Cell Reports on the same subject.
Who should attend?
Scientists from academia and industry at every career stage who are interested in the latest developments and ongoing problems in neural stem cell research. You will find important insights and chances to advance your research and career, regardless of your research career stage.
Abstract submission and early registration close on 15 January 2025!
