by Nikos Kokkorakis

Welcome and invitation letter

Dear colleagues,

On behalf of the Organizing and Scientific Committee of the Conference, I have the pleasure of inviting you to the 7th Congress of the Hellenic Society of Gene Therapy and Regenerative Medicine (HSGTRM), which will take place in Thessaloniki on May 24-26, 2024. The Board of Directors of HSGTRM is pleased to announce that our Conference will be held exclusively with the physical presence of all speakers and participants! We look forward to an international meeting that will offer opportunities for a high level of networking with distinguished scientists and researchers from Greece and Europe.

The Conference will cover different cutting-edge fields in the fields of Gene and Cell Therapy and Regenerative Medicine, such as the development of pluripotent stem cell models for the study of important, currently incurable, diseases, the therapeutic use of exosomes, the prospects of umbilical cord blood banks in regenerative medicine. Clinical advances in the field of gene therapy and future challenges will be discussed. The latest data in immunotherapy for cancer and the fight against viral infections with genetically modified or not, T-lymphocytes will be presented.

The educational program aims to present the most modern tools and approaches to overcome today’s challenges and successfully analyze and manage data. Internationally leading scientists will deliver the Conference’s keynote lectures and share with us their insights into revolutionary developments in science, research, and treatment. In addition, the Oral and Poster sessions will provide an opportunity for young scientists to present their research and interact meaningfully with their colleagues. The purpose of the Conference is to bring together scientists, clinicians, representatives of pharmaceutical companies, postdoctoral researchers, and undergraduate or postgraduate students, and to give them the opportunity to communicate and develop fruitful collaborations on topics related to Gene & Cell Therapy, Regenerative Medicine and the regulatory framework of Advanced Therapies.

We look forward to meeting you in Thessaloniki and engaging in fruitful discussions!

Yours sincerely,

Rebecca Matsas

President of the Board of Directors & Organizing Committee
